Epiphone casino 2001 peerless korean

I do have a couple of MIC built guitars, such as my Gretsch Pro Jet, and they're generally decent to pretty darn good too. I've yet to play a Chinese made Casino, so I don't have a frame of reference concerning their relative quality levels. I have no idea if that translates into 'worth more' or not. I think it's an exceptionally good guitar, and pretty much everyone else who has played it - from seriously heavy jazz cats to hard core rockers - has commented favorably about it. This serial number system doesnt exactly tell the year - and doesnt tell the month at all. F doesnt refer to Fine, Korea - nor to Fuji-gen, Japan - New 'F' models are made in China. Peerless built guitars have a reputation for being well made / good sounding, and mine certainly lives up to that IMO. part II-F-Serial used on LP Std59/60 models and Tribute/Plus models This newest serial number system used by Epiphone is not yet completely deciphered. It should be able to tell you quite a bit about your guitar - including what factory it was made in, and the month and year of manufacture.Īccording to that site, mine was made in March of 2001 at the Peerless factory.

Yeah I hear the Peerless factory mentioned alot with other Epiphones, mine is only 4 years old though which is around the time they stopped production in Korea I think
